Guide vs Modernloop
Everything ModernLoop does. Run by an agent
Guide builds the panel, catches declines before you wake up, and keeps the schedule right after it’s booked. All from inside Greenhouse and Ashby.

Why teams switch
Three reasons to choose Guide over Modernloop

An agent, not a trigger
ModernLoop starts scheduling when a candidate changes stage. Aria decides what the schedule should be, proposes it, and runs it if you let it.
Triggered by stage changes, availability, declines or manually
Aria Copilot approves each action, autopilot runs after 20 seconds
Ask in plain language for a break, a swap, or a panel spread across days
Coordination that lives in your ATS
Your team never leaves Greenhouse or Ashby. Guide runs inside the ATS, every action logs back to it, and nobody learns a second dashboard.
No separate app and no Chrome extension to keep enabled
Recruiters and interviewers each get a native portal
Reporting filters by every attribute already in your ATS

The schedule stays right after it’s booked
Booking the panel is the easy part. Guide watches what happens next, when an interviewer drops at 11:00PM and the loop has to hold together.
Declines monitored around the clock, not just flagged
Tries a qualified same-slot swap before it moves anything
Then a new slot, then a fresh availability request

What GoodTime users ask for
We read 72 public ModernLoop reviews. Most are positive, and support is praised constantly. Four requests recur, and they’re design decisions.

Your team's setup time
Onboarding
Connect and sync
Experience the power of a true storytelling with unified collateral that helps you deliver the right brand content at the right time.
Set your defaults
You tell Guide how your interviews usually run once. Every new role inherits those rules instead of starting from scratch.
Launch and pilot
Guide builds scheduling plans for the roles you're hiring, reviews your candidate portal, and train your coordinators before you go live.

Pricing
One number versus a quote
The models differ more than the prices do. One scales with your company, the other with your hiring volume.
Flat, by headcount
Priced on full-time headcount, not candidate or interview volume.
Every seat and module included: portal, messaging, reporting
No add-ons
No mid-contract true-ups when hiring spikes
Price changes only at renewal
30-day opt-out, no invoice until day 60
Custom quote
Tiered by candidate volume, with capabilities sold separately.
No public price for the scheduling product
Taylor AI starts at $450 a month on its own plan
Taylor AI is metered in credits, five per completed interview
Bill tends to rise with hiring volume
Suits teams buying scheduling and AI screening as separate lines
The scenario worth modelling
A 500-person company hiring 40 roles this year and 120 next year pays Guide the same either way, because price follows headcount.
The honest recommendation
Which one to choose
Choose Guide if

You run Greenhouse or Ashby on Google Workspace and want coordination inside your ATS

You want an agent that owns the loop after booking, not automation that fires at stage change

You want automation you can dial per workflow, with a manual escape hatch at any point

Reporting on declines, reschedules and notice time matters to how you run the team

You want flat, predictable pricing with no volume true-ups
Choose ModernLoop if

You run Microsoft 365, Outlook or Teams. Guide does not support it as of August 2026

You run Workday, Lever or SmartRecruiters

You need native coding assessment integrations with CoderPad, HackerRank, CodeSignal or Codility

Your procurement requires ISO 27001 or ISO 27701

You want an AI phone screener for high-volume hourly hiring
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Is Guide a good alternative to ModernLoop?
Yes, for Greenhouse or Ashby teams on Google Workspace that want an AI agent handling coordination rather than rules that fire on stage change. Guide includes every module in one flat price.
Does ModernLoop have an AI scheduling agent?
Not for scheduling. ModernLoop’s Zero Click Scheduling sends requests and emails automatically when a candidate changes stage in the ATS. Its AI agent, Taylor, interviews and screens candidates and is priced separately.
What happens when an interviewer declines?
Guide monitors declines continuously. Aria looks first for a qualified replacement at the same time so the panel holds, then a new slot, then a fresh availability request. ModernLoop says it helps find the best replacement.
Can I change an interview after it has been booked?
In Guide, yes. A booked loop stays live, so swaps, breaks, room changes and reschedules all run through Aria, or you take over in the full calendar view.
Can I schedule manually in Guide when I need to?
Yes. In copilot, Aria proposes and you approve, edit, swap interviewers or take over in the calendar. Autopilot executes after a 20 second window. The setting is per workflow and per user.
How long does Guide take to implement?
Guide deployments at roughly 300 to 500 FTE have involved about eight hours of the customer's own setup time across a three-week onboarding, with a CSM building the first branded portal template.
